External projects

UNIS Operations and Field safety (OFS) can assist different kinds of external scientific projects when there’s spare capacity. All projects will need a UNIS project number in order to put in a request for support. UNIS courses will have priority over projects, and UNIS supported projects will be prioritized over unsupported external projects.

Projects directly related to UNIS courses are asked to contact OFS directly in order to ensure the project will be prioritized around the course field dates. 

All projects assisted by UNIS must follow the UNIS safety instructions and safety courses, please see the UNIS Field safety instruction for more details. 

UNIS does not lend or rent out equipment of any kind to private excursions not related to scientific operations.
