UNIS has launched a webpage with digital educational resource tools for our staff members.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus situation, all on-campus lecturing and all fieldwork have been cancelled for the spring semester. Thus, UNIS as so many other universities around the world, has had to develop fully electronically teaching methods for our students.

UNIS is part of the bioCEED – Centre for Excellence in Biology Education, which develops digital tools and websites to help teachers and students.  The bioCEED staff at UNIS has worked for the last week to make an overview of available online tools for teaching.

– We are so lucky at UNIS to have bioCEED, and several projects with educational focus, says Hanne H. Christiansen, vice dean of education at UNIS. – The bioCEED staff has put together an online resource for all of us to use for distance learning in these Covid-19 times, she says.

UNIS have decided to use Microsoft Teams as the platform for online educational activities and all staff at UNIS have now Teams software installed. All presently active course students will in a short time also have access to Teams. There will be a Team group for each course running, where the course responsible will be able to conduct their teaching and have interaction with students.
