Royal visit to UNIS

Their Majesties King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway will visit the University Center in Svalbard (UNIS) on Thursday 9 August 2018 in connection with the 25th anniversary of UNIS.

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince and Crown Princess, and Princess Märtha Louise will also be present at the visit to UNIS.
The Royal Family will arrive at UNIS at 10:30 and be welcomed by UNIS director Harald Ellingsen and Leader of Longyearbyen Community Council, Mr. Arild Olsen.
Director Ellingsen will give a short speech in the UNIS cafeteria before Their Majesties will present an anniversary gift to UNIS from the Royal Family.
Afterwards the Royal Family will proceed to Svalbard Museum for a tour of the museum and a short press conference.
